☆ lenient 情け深い
============================
Do you know this word? It is a word used to describe someone in authority who is not as strict or severe as expected. The person in authority could be someone with a lot of power, such as a politician or owner of a company, or it could simply be a teacher or even a parent. Here are some examples of how to use it:
The government is too lenient with drug traffickers. (In other words the government should be stricter or give harsher penalties to drug traffickers.)
My professor at uni is quite lenient and always lets me hand in my assignment after the due date.
His mom is so lenient, he’s allowed to stay out really late.
Would you consider yourself a lenient person? If so, are you lenient on everything or just certain things?
Bye,
Chris
