☆ sorrow 悲しみ
============================
Sorrow is a feeling of deep sadness or regret. It’s quite a strong word, and so for that reason it isn’t used too often in everyday conversation. However it is used a lot in written English, especially novels. The feelings of “sorrow” are often combined with anger, frustration and other complicated feelings. For example:
He could understand her frustration, sorrow, and fear.
His feelings of sorrow and fear were so deep they hurt.
I felt sorrow and regret after my outburst.
And of course, don’t forget the famous line from Romeo and Juliet, “Parting is such sweet sorrow.” Parting, meaning to say goodbye, makes her feel sorrow, but it is sweet because it remind her of how much she loves Romeo.
Bye,
Chris
