Last weekend I had the opportunity to join two Japanese community events in Adelaide. The first event was a sports day, and it was just like a sports day at a Japanese school. It was fun and well organized – Australian sports days are not usually very well organized, so it was nice to attend a Japanese-style one. 🙂
The other opportunity was through a Japanese man who has lived in Adelaide for a long time. He invited some friends to his house for a pizza lunch. He was making pizza all day for the guests so that the guests could meet and chat. I was chatting with a woman from Adelaide who had also lived and worked in Japan for many years.
