Someone who is curious is interested in things and wants to know more about them. for example, we often say that “children are naturally curious” as they are always asking questions and wanting to know more about the world around them.
“Just curious” is a common response when someone asks a question and doesn’t want to say the reason why they asked the question. This is usually in a personal situation, when the person is asking for information that might be too personal. For example:
A: How old are you?
B: Why do you want to know?
A: Just curious.
Or
A: Do you have a boyfriend?
B: Why are you asking?
A: Just curious.
