☆ iffy 疑わしい
============================
I love this word! It’s a very informal word, and you won’t see it in written English or used in formal English, however it is used a lot. It means something that is a little bit doubtful or suspicious or questionable. Here are some examples:
A: What are you going to do after you leave university?
B: I’m not sure, the future is a bit iffy
I don’t think we should go to the beach, the weather looks a bit iffy.
This tastes a bit iffy!
Did you notice anything? “Iffy” is usually used with the word “bit” or “little” just to emphasize it even more.
Bye,
Chris
