When I searched for good quotes using today’s word almost all of them were about “making a good first impression.” The most popular quote in English about impressions is “You never get a second chance to make a good first impression.” by Will Rogers. However when I was looking, I found this quote by the Dalai Lama, which I really like:
“Sometimes one creates a dynamic impression by saying something, and sometimes one creates as significant an impression by remaining silent.”
As I said earlier in the month, I’m an introvert, so staying silent is usual for me. When I found this quote this morning I was happy to be reminded that sometimes remaining silent can be just as powerful as speaking.
