☆ introvert 内向的な人
============================
I know we’ve talked about “introverts” and “extroverts” (tomorrow’s word) in previous years, but still most people, even native speakers seem to think that introverts are shy people. They aren’t always shy, sometimes they can be very outgoing, but the difference between an introvert and an extrovert is that the introvert needs time alone to recharge. On the other hand the extrovert recharges and feels great when around people and doesn’t like to be alone too much.
I would definitely describe myself as an introvert; if I don’t have some “alone time” to recharge my batteries, I feel quite exhausted! However, I like people and love going out with groups. Of course, at a big party I tend to stay with one or two people rather than chat to anyone and everyone, but I think this is because I’m a little shy, not because I’m an introvert.
Stay tuned for more about extroverts tomorrow!
Bye,
Chris
