When I first saw today’s word, I thought it said, “revolution” and automatically my brain started singing the Beatles song, “Revolution”… oops! Different word! But still, those lyrics could work well for “resolution” instead of “revolution.” In fact, in that song, the Beatles use “revolution,” “solution,” and “constitution”, so why not “resolution” too?
I think there are a few hints in here for learning English. Firstly, karaoke is always a good way to get out and start using English – you don’t even need someone to talk to, just sing along in English! We tend to look at words with similar meanings, but you could also try looking for rhyming words! That might be tricky but see how you go. See if you can add to the four I mentioned above. And if you’re really up for a challenge, why not try writing some song lyrics using the word of the day?
