If you have “vision” you have the ability to imagine and “see” new ideas. We often talk about the “minds’ eye” which means the ability to visualize something and see it with the mind.
Another word for “vision” in this situation could be “imagination” or even “intuition”. Intuition is a little different because it refers to imagining something when you cannot explain your feelings. With “vision” it is more a specific feeling that causes you to imagine something. For example you have an idea or feeling about how you want your future to be, so you use your vision to draw up that future in detail. On the other hand, although “intuition” is about using the minds’ eye too, it is more like you have a gut feeling about something that has happened or might happen.
