☆ have cold feet 怖じ気づく
============================
If you have cold feet about something, it means you are nervous or frightened about something because you think it will fail. The most common time this verb is used is when people are getting married and then one – or both – of the people decide they no longer want to get married.
“We’re getting married this weekend; I hope Brett doesn’t get cold feet!”
Of course, you can use it to talk about anything that you suddenly become too scared to do. It is also often used with “get” as well as “have” depending on the tense of the sentence.
“I want to call my old boss and ask for my job back, but I have cold feet.”
“I wanted to call my old boss but I got cold feet.”
Bye,
Chris
