☆ endeavor 努める
If you endeavor to do something, you try very hard to do it. For example, “I will endeavor to arrange it.” Or “The union is endeavoring to protect workers’ rights after the changes in labor laws.”
If you don’t know this word, you could make a small Mind Map with similar words and example sentences to help you learn it. If you already know and use this word, great! You can still improve by finding different ways to use it – it is a formal word, so you could think about what words to use in an informal situation. Some possible words are “try to” or “attempt to” or “make every effort”.
Remember, if you know a word or if you don’t know it and think it is too hard, please endeavor to use it in a sentence and make it part of your vocabulary repertoire!
