A dilemma is a difficult situation in which you have to choose between two or more alternatives. For example, when I first got the news that my father was sick, I was faced with the dilemma of whether or not to return home to Australia. In the end I chose to make a quick visit with my youngest son, and in the end this turned out to be the best decision.
