When you describe someone as obstinate, you are describing them in a negative way. Being obstinate means that someone is determined to get what they want and they refuse to change their mind.
Do you know someone who is obstinate? My dad was very obstinate! I think I may have some of his “obstinate DNA” ha ha. Luckily though, many people get more and more obstinate as they get older, but I think I am getting less obstinate – it’s really hard to be obstinate with young children in the house; they are always able to be more obstinate than me!!
