☆ pros and cons 　賛否両論

When you face a problem or need to make a decision, do you ever weigh up the pros and cons? When I was a teenager, this was a common method for deciding who to date! The girls at my high school would make lists of the pros and cons – all the positives about a guy they liked and all the negatives about him – and then decide whether or not to say yes to his date!
I’m sure there are people who use this kind of list to make more serious decisions such as quitting a job, or choosing a new home, but I usually find that both sides of the list are equally strong, so it doesn’t help me choose!
How about you? Have you ever used the “pros and cons” method for decision making? How did it go?
