My hometown Adelaide is quite “small”… it’s a city, but the population is only about 1.3 million people, so after living in Tokyo, it feels very quiet. But sometimes I read stories about successful people from Adelaide and remember that the size of the city is not necessarily important. So when I saw today’s word, I thought of a juice bar that we have here. It’s called “Boost Juice” and is an international franchise – there are franchises in many countries around Asia (not Japan!), Europe, Russia, the Middle East and the UK.
I just assumed it was an international company that had opened up franchises here… but it turns out that Boost Juice is not just an Australia company, it’s originally from Adelaide! A local success story, I guess! They chose the name “Boost Juice” because their juices will “boost the way you feel.” In other words, if you’re feeling good, they’ll boost you up so you’re feeling better. And if you’re not feeling that great, the juices and smoothies will boost your energy so that you start to feel good again. Interesting! Where are you from?
