If you “get along” with someone it means that you have a friendly relationship with them. You can also say that two people “get along”. Here are some example sentences:
It’s impossible to get along with him.
They seem to be getting along just fine.
We’re different people and we don’t always get along.
Why can’t we all just get along??
Do you get along with your boss?
At the beginning of school holidays my kids get along, but by the end of the holidays they are always fighting!
As you can see, “get along” is often used, and there isn’t really an alternative to use instead, so add this word to your vocabulary!
