Married can be used as an adjective in two ways. Firstly to explain that you have a husband or wife.
We have been married for 5 years.
He is a married man with two children.
Secondly, it means something relating to marriage or to people who are married. In this situation, it is mostly used to describe “life”.
For the first ten years of our married life we lived in New York.
This is just how married life is!
And, we can also married to explain that someone is very involved with something, such as a job, and they have no interest in other things.
We don’t see her much anymore as she is married to her job.
I’m married to my work.
He is married to his golf, I never see him on weekends!
