Oh my goodness. June is over. Tomorrow is the first day of the last six months of the year! Did time fly for you too? Or just me?
I think earlier in this month, Softbank released a robot with “human emotions” right? What do you think about this? I wasn’t sure what the main purpose was, but then I thought about the “hiki-komori” situation in Japan (and in other countries too). Maybe it would be good for people who feel isolated, in that case an emotional robot might be able to help.
Also the elderly, too. Often they are isolated and lonely, so this kind of interactive robot could be great for them. What do you think? Are there any other uses of this kind of robot that could help? It wasn’t just invented to help people who feel isolated right? I’m sure that Softbank must have a big vision for such a project… I’m interested to see where it goes from here!
