☆ curiosity 好奇心
============================
Do you know any idioms using “curiosity”? There are two famous ones in English, “Curiosity killed the cat” and “die of/from curiosity”. “Curiosity killed the cat” is often used to warn people that they shouldn’t be nosy or ask too many questions about another person’s private life. For example:
A: When did X and Y get divorced??
B: I don’t know, but be careful who you ask, curiosity killed the cat!
And to die of/from curiosity is used when you have a strong need to know about something. For example:
I almost died of curiosity!
Tell me, I’m dying of curiosity!!
I had to read to the end of the book to find out what happened, I was dying of curiosity.
Bye,
