☆ query 疑う
============================
If you query something, it means that you check it by asking about it because you are not sure if it is correct. One of the most common things people query is their bill! When you get the bill at the end of dinner or after you have stayed at a hotel and it is more expensive that you expected do you query it? I do, but only sometimes. I must admit, I will only query it if it seems *too* expensive. If I add it up in my head and it seems like the cost is “expensive but probably right” I won’t query it.
How about you? Is it common to query things in Japan? Have you ever queried anything? What was it? What was the outcome – were you right to query it?
Bye,
Chris
