In English, we can use the word “funny” to mean something that is interesting and makes us laugh, or to describe something that is “strange” or “peculiar”. Because of these two common meanings, there is actually now a common words that we use; “funny ha-ha” and “funny strange.” Here are some examples:
He think his jokes are funny ha-ha, but really, they’re just silly!
I don’t like that TV show, it’s more funny strange, rather than funny ha-ha.

Or in a conversation:
A: She’s very funny!
B: Do you mean funny ha-ha, or funny strange?”
A: Definitely funny ha-ha!
