I’ve gotten back into running regularly this year. I’m planning on joining a marathon and the 16-week training starts tomorrow! Eeek!! Of course, the good news is that marathon training schedules always start with the Day One – Rest. I can do that! Easy. 🙂
The reason the first day is “rest” is because they assume that you are starting on a Monday and that you ran a long run on Sunday. Which is almost true – tomorrow IS Monday, and today I am joining the “Dolphin Run” at the beach near my home. It’s only 10km, so it’s not “long” (compared to a marathon) but I’m happy to have a rest tomorrow.
What are your plans for health and exercise this year? Are you planning to go it alone or join in some kind of activity with others?
