☆ trustworthy 信頼できる
============================
Someone who is trustworthy is reliable, responsible, and can be trusted completely. I hope this describes me! Does it describe you? I think it probably does – it might be a stereotype, but Japanese people in general are seen as very trustworthy. Is this a stereotype or do you believe that Japanese people are trustworthy too?
Although this word is usually used to describe people, like I just discussed, nowadays it is often used to describe websites. For example, a website is trustworthy or not, depending on whether it is safe or a Spam site. You can also use it to describe a country, for example, “Japan is considered to be a trustworthy ally.”
Bye,
Chris
