In English, we often have names that we call our partners… instead of
using their actual name. “Dear” is one of those words… for example, when
the husband comes home from work, he would say, “hello dear” rather than
“hello (name)”…

There are many other funny names that people call each other such as, hunny,
honey, pumpkin, sweetie, and love.

How about in Japanese? What do people call each other when they are in a
relationship?

英語では、パートナーのことを実際の名前ではない呼び名で呼ぶことがよくありますが、“Dear”はそのひとつです。
例えば、仕事から帰ってきた夫は、“ただいま、○○(名前)”というよりも、“ただいま、Dear”ということが多いですね。

他にも、“Hunny”、“Honey”、“Pumpkin”、“Sweetie”や“Love”など、色々な呼び方があります。
