============================

Today’s word, “generous” is usually used to describe people. For example,
a generous person is someone who is friendly, helpful and willing
to see the good qualities in someone or something. You could also say
someone is generous, if they usually give more of something, especially
money, than is usual or expected. Would you describe yourself as a
generous person?

You can also use ”generous” to describe the amount of something when it
is much larger than usual or necessary. For example, “the apartment had a
generous amount of storage.” In this case, the meaning is similar to “lavish”,
as in, “the apartment had a lavish amount of storage.”

“The apartment had a generous amount of storage.”

と言ったら、「lavish(過分な、豊富な)」と同じような意味を持ちます。
