An easy word today. 🙂 So instead of talking about today’s word,
I want to tell you about a poem in English about the days of the
week and what it means if you were born on that day:

Monday’s child is fair of face
Tuesday’s child is full of grace,
Wednesday’s child is full of woe,
Thursday’s child has far to go,
Friday’s child is loving and giving,
Saturday’s child works hard for a living,
But the child who is born on the Sabbath Day
Is bonny and blithe and good and gay.

Sorry, that wasn’t connected to the word, “meeting” at all, was it?! Actually
I was born on a Wednesday, so supposedly I am “full of woe”… sometimes
it feels true! Ha ha. I’m interested to know from you whether there is a similar
idea in Japan. Is there?

そこで、言葉に関することではなく、英語の詩をご紹介しましょう。
これは、何曜日生まれがどのような意味を持つかという詩です。

月曜日に生まれた子は器量が良く、
火曜日の子はお上品
水曜日の子は不幸になり、
木曜日の子は苦労をする
金曜日の子は愛情深くて気前よく、
土曜日の子は働き者になる
そして日曜日に生まれた子は、器量、賢さ、明るさの三拍子揃い

今日の言葉、「meeting(ミーティング)」とは全く関係がなかったですね、
ごめんなさい！
私は水曜日に生まれたので、不幸と言うことでしょうか…
時には、そのような気分になりますけどね！笑。
日本にも同じような諺や考え方があるのか興味があるところです。
