One of my sisters lives in a remote area in Australia. Actually, I thought
she lived quite close to Sydney, but it turns out, she lives in an isolated
country town, about six hours by car from Sydney!! She has a son in junior
high school there, I wonder what his chances are for finding a job in the city
once he graduates…

In Japan, what happens to people who grow up in isolated areas? Do they
go to the city for school and university? What about jobs? Do people tend to
stay and work in their hometown, or is it difficult to find work?

私の姉のひとりが、オーストラリアの辺鄙な地域に住んでいます。
実は、私は姉がシドニーからほど近い所に住んでいると思っていたのですが、実際はシドニーから車で6時間もかかる孤立した田舎町に住んでいたのです。
彼女には中学生の息子がいますが、彼が学校を出て、あの町で職を探せるチャンスがあるのか疑問です。

日本では孤立した地域で育った人々は、どうなりますか？
都市部の大学に進学しますか？
仕事はいかがでしょう？
地元にとどまり仕事をしますか？
