Have you ever seen any of the “Austin Powers” comedy movies? There
is a great example of how intonation can affect the meaning of a word in
them. Usually this word, “behave” is used by parents telling their kids,
“please behave” or “behave or else!”

However, in the movies, Austin Powers tells the women that he meets
to “Oh, behave!!” and the meaning is that they must stop being so
sexually attractive to him. Unfotunately, he is not “sexy” at all… If you’d like
