I was reading an interesting article about being a mother on
the Internet the other week. It was written by a woman who has
nine children!! Yes, nine!

In the article, she said that the mother’s responsibility is to
learn to care about someone else more than you do about yourself.
And also the responsibility to be “the protector who can’t always
protect” and “to have arms that are designed to hold, but always having
to let go.” It was a very thought-provoking article about “responsibility”
and had some ideas that were different from just “feed your child
healthy food” and so on!

What do you think is a mother’s (or father’s) responsibility?

その記事は9人のこどもを持つ女性の書いたものです。
なんと9人です！

彼女は、母親の責務とは、自分のことよりも大切にしたい人がいるということを知ることであると言っていました。
また、守りきれないものを守り、抱きしめつつも、いつでも手放せる腕を持つ責務であるとも述べていました。
これは、「責務」について色々考えさせられる記事で、単に「健康的な食べ物を与える」などというものとは違いました。
