When you’re speaking English, have you ever had someone
ask you to repeat what you said? I can guarantee that the other
person just want to make certain they heard what you said.

Non-native speakers tend to speak quietly, and so even though
they have not made a mistake, the listener might ask them to
repeat what they said. They are not checking your mistakes! They
just want to make certain of what you said. So, if someone says to
you, “pardon?” or “could you say that again”, don’t feel nervous and
worry about your English, instead, say it again, in a loud, clear,
confident voice!
