There are some other ways to say, “meet one’s expectations” that
are quite interesting! I wonder if you know any of them? Here they are:

cut the mustard
deliver the goods
fit the bill

If someone “cuts the mustard” it means they come up to your expectations.
No one really knows the reason why “mustard” is used in this expression!
“Deliver the goods” it means that you succeed or reach your goal and
expectations. “Fit the bill” means that something matches your
requirements or expecations.
