When something is inconsistent, it doesn’t stay the same and is
unpredictable. You could use this to describe an artist’s work in
an exhibition if none of it is the same. Like yesterday’s word, this
can have a positive or negative nuance, depending on your
feeling.

You can also use this to describe music that is not harmonious.
Or fashion that doesn’t match. Or even with a building that
is inconsistent with the environment.
