Before coming to Japan, I used to steam cook my rice. I was so
glad to come here and discover rice cookers. I bought one immediately!
So much easier! There are quite a few foods that are steamed in
Japan, right? What are some of the most famous or most delicious ones?

By the way, let’s learn another idiom, “steam up”. If someone
gets steamed up about something, it means that they are very
angry about it. Some examples:

My boyfriend got so steamed up about me having other male friends.
It looks like the boss is steamed up about something again!
