My granny, who was British, always used to say that the ideal man
was tall, dark and handsome. This seems to be a common saying in the
UK. The “dark” part refers to dark hair, dark eyes and tanned skin.

Does “tall, dark and handsome” describe an ideal man in Japan? In
Hollywood, there are both types, right? Dark-haired men, as well as
men with fair-haired, such as Brad Pitt, with blonde-ish hair and
blue eyes.

Which do you think is more handsome – dark or fair?

だと言っていました。
このフレーズはイギリスでよく使われているようです。
「dark （浅黒い）」の部分は髪の毛、目の色と肌のことです。

ハリウッドでも両方のタイプがいますよね？
濃い色の髪の男性と、金髪の男性です。
