These days when someone says, “I’ll follow you” usually
they are talking about Twitter, right?! But it is common
to use this phrase when you are driving somewhere, using
more than one car.

For example, you and your family are in your car, and your
friend is in another car. If only your friend knows the
way, you would usually say, “you go first, and I’ll
follow you.”

Have you ever done this? I did it a few weeks ago, but
the person that knew the way was in the car behind me!
Even though I didn’t know the way, they said they’d
follow me. We got there eventually, only one wrong
turn! Ha ha.

この頃、誰かが「I’ll follow you（フォローします）」と言ったらツイッターの話だと思いますよね！
でも、２台以上でどこかにドライブする場合に、よく使うフレーズです。

例えば、あなたとあなたの家族は自分の車で行き、そして、友達は彼らの車で行きます。
もし道を知っているのが友達だけなら、あなたは「You go first and I’ll follow you.（あなたが先に行って、私はついていきます）」と言うわけです。

やったことがありますか？
私は何週間か前にやりましたが、道を知っている車は私の後ろ！
私が、道を知らないと分かっていたのに、友達は「I’ll follow you （ついていく）」と言ったんです！
１回だけ間違いましたが、最終的には到着しました！（笑）
