What does diversity mean to you? Is Japan a country with a lot of diversity? Is diversity important for the future of Japan?

A lot of countries have laws to create diversity. For example a company must hire a certain number of women, or people from racial minorities. Do think this kind of law is useful for creating real diversity or not?
