☆ talk 話す
============================
Many students make mistakes when choosing to use “talk”
and “speak”. Here is the main difference:
Speak: When someone is using their voice to say words, you
say that they are “speaking”.
e.g He didn’t look at me when I was speaking.
Talk: Use this when two or more people are having a conversation.
e.g We sat in the kitchen and talked all night.
In other words, “speak” is most commonly used when it is just
one person, or when it is a one-way conversation.
There is one more difference. “Talk” is much more friendly and
informal.
Your boss: I want to speak to you. (= oh no, you did something
wrong)
Your boss: I want to talk to you. (= your boss might want to talk
about a raise, or something else positive about your work.)
Hope that helps!

Speak:
He didn’t look at me when I was speaking.
Talk:
We sat in the kitchen and talked all night.
I want to speak to you.
I want to talk to you.
