☆  confusing 混乱させるような

This time of years is a bit confusing for me as a parent… especially as my kids get older. I love everything about Christmas except for two things – firstly, everyone spends way too much money and buys things they don’t need, and secondly, basically the Elf on the Shelf and the whole Santa story are made up, not real.

This is confusing for me, because I don’t want to lie to my kids, but I also want them to believe in the magic of Christmas, even if it is me that makes the “magic”… It’s also confusing for the kids, because of course some of them already say that Santa is not real, and they don’t believe in Santa, so then my kids ask me if it’s true or not… how do I answer without lying?? Do Japanese kids believe in Santa?
