Today’s Word: waft

☆  waft  漂う

============================

If a smell wafts through the air, it moves gently through the air. So, for example, when you walk past a bakery, the smell of freshly baked goods might waft through the doors to the street pulling you in to the store buy the donuts… What? That doesn’t happen to you? Must just be me then. Ha ha 🙂

It’s amazing how smells can affect us, sometimes in the morning as I head to work, the freshly ground coffee bean smell wafts through the air from the café, and even though I have already had a coffee, I find myself “needing” another one!

What smells affect you? Do you have a favorite aroma or scent?

Bye,

Chris
