Today’s Word: workload

☆  workload  仕事量

============================

Your workload – or the workload of your company or organization – is the amount of work that you have to do. This word is most commonly used when the workload is too much, or too heavy. For example:

Mr. Suzuki had to cancel his trip due to his heavy workload.
We are hiring more staff in order to cope with the extra workload.
I wish I could change to a job that didn’t have such a heavy workload.
Since Kate left, we’ve all noticed an increase in our workload.

How is your workload? Is it too much or, just right? Do you wish you had more work or less?

Bye,

Chris
