I have a Japanese friend who lives in Adelaide, and she is always complaining that people in Adelaide are not stylish…. I think it’s true, but of course I can’t say that to my Australian friends! After living in Tokyo, where people are so stylish, and someone is always wearing the latest fashion, it’s strange to see people in “lounge wear” clothes all the time. The funny thing is that most people think that what they are wearing is stylish! Oh dear!
Do you think that Japanese men and women are stylish? Is fashion changing at all? Are people becoming more relaxed about what they wear? Is the “lounge wear” style of clothing considered stylish in Japan? What kind of clothes do you consider stylish? Is confidence important to looking stylish?
