☆ intimate 親密な
============================
Hello! Welcome to the first August mini mail. This month’s topic is “Love at Foresight”, which is a fun play on words of the common saying, “Love at first sight.” So this month’s themes are related to love and relationships.
And our first word is “intimate”. When you use this word to describe a friendship it means that you know them very well and like them a lot. This friend is usually but not always the same sex as you and it is someone you can talk to about anything.
If you talk about an intimate relationship (not friendship) then you mean that the two people in the relationship are involved in a loving and/or sexual relationship.
You can also have an “intimate conversation” which is a very personal and private conversation. Can you use intimate in a sentence?
Bye,
Chris
