reject 拒絶する

☆ reject 拒絶する
============================
If you reject something such as a proposal or an offer or a request, it means that you do not accept it, or you do not agree to it. For example, “The publisher rejected the manuscript.”
You can also reject a belief or a system, and refuse to live by its rules. For example, since this chapter is about age and growing older, you might reject society’s belief that women are not useful as they get older. Or you might reject marketing campaigns that tell you that you need a certain cream to make your wrinkles disappear.
And you can also reject another person that is expecting affection or kindness from you by instead being cold and unfriendly. “She rejected him because of his unreasonable demands.”
How else can you use “reject”?
Bye,
Chris
