☆ exclaim 叫ぶ
============================
Do you know today’s word? It is probably not one that is used in daily life, but it is still a good word to know and use. It is often used by writers to show that someone is speaking loudly because they are excited, shocked, or angry. Some other words that have the same meaning are:
cry out
call out
declare
shout
yell
“Exclaim” is more commonly used to describe how someone said something in a formal way. So in a casual conversation you might say, “He yelled that it wasn’t his fault.” But if you were in a more formal situation – or in a written format such as a novel – then it would be better to use “exclaimed,” “He exclaimed that it wasn’t his fault.”
Bye,
Chris
