☆ discover  発見する
============================
So as you know, I do like to use the daily word to find inspiring quotes and sayings, but when I searched for “discover”, I discovered that although it looks like there are a lot (Google say 59 million results!) there are actually only two main quotes using the word “discover” and then a lot of people have used different images and fonts and created their own image of the quote and then shared that. Naturally I was hoping to discover at least a few different quotes about discovering things, but nope, just two! Ha ha! And you probably already know of them, but I’ll share them just in case:
“Your work is to discover your world and then with all your heart give yourself to it.” Buddha.
The second one is usually shortened to just “Explore. Dream. Discover.” The quote is said to be by Mark Twain, but there is no actual verification of this, so I’m not sure who said it originally. In any case, here is the whole quote for you:
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”
Hmmm, is there anything you’ve been thinking about doing but putting off for some reason? Maybe it’s time for you (and me!) to explore, dream and discover!
Bye,
Chris
