Someone who is personable has a pleasant appearance and character. Just like March 5th’s word, “modest”, this word describes both your character and your appearance. In fact, we can use this word to talk about web sites too – a business page could be a “good balance of professional and personable.”
Emails too, from companies, can be personable. Have you ever received an email from a company in response to a question or complaint? Usually they are just formatted emails that are they same no matter who they send them too. However, these days many companies realize that this is not very effective, and so staffs are supposed to follow a formal format but make the email personable too.
