☆ caution 警告
============================
Today’s word is often used on signs. Sometimes the sign will say “warning” or “danger” and other times it will say, “caution”. In fact, there are actually rules and international standards to help sign makers determine which word to use – so that people from any nationality can understand the sign!
Danger (on a red background) is used when the hazard will cause death or severe injury if the sign is ignored.
Warning (on an orange background) is used when the hazard could cause death or serious injury if the sign is ignored.
Caution (on a yellow background) is used when the hazard could cause minor injury if the sign is ignored.
Interesting, don’t you think?
Bye,
Chris
