This word is used to describe clothes that are
revealing. This word can have both a positive
or negative nuance. I guess mostly men use the
positive nuance, “I love her skimpy dress!” and
women use the negative nuance, “Look at her skimpy
dress!” lol

Actually when I checked my English dictionary it
said the meaning is: something that is too small
in size or quantity.

So I guess, it’s actually a negative word, really!
We usually don’t want something that is too small,
right?!

ポジティブなニュアンスもありますし、ネガティブなニュアンスもあります。
ポジティブなニュアンスで使う人は多分ほとんど男性でしょう。
｢彼女の露出度の高いドレスが好き！｣

ネガティブなニュアンスを使うのは女性でしょう。
｢彼女の露出度の高いドレスをみて！｣(笑)

私が辞書で調べたところ、実際に書いてあったのは「何かが小さすぎる、または量が少なすぎる」場合に使うようです。
ということは、本来はネガティブな単語なんですね。
だって、小さすぎたり、量が少なすぎるものなんて欲しくないじゃないですか！
