This month’s topic is “A New Start”. For many
people in Japan the events of last months have
led to people making a new start even though
they didn’t plan to.

I think the response of people in Japan to the
earthquake, tsunami and nuclear problems show
that the Japanese people have many special skills
and talents that the rest of the world can learn from.
For example, community spirit, selflessness and
perseverance.

What do you think? What special characteristics of
Japanese people can the rest of the world learn from?

日本の多くの方々にとって、先月の災害は新たなスタートを切るきっかけとなってしまいました。

先月の地震、津波、そして原発の問題で日本人の特別なスキルやタレントを日本人は世界の人々に見せてくれました。
他の国（私を含めて）がそこから学べるようなことです。
例えば、共同体意識であり、無私無欲であり、忍耐力です。
