Yesterday we talked about dressing up, and today is the opposite, to dress down. I guess since it’s a Saturday and also midway through the Golden Week holiday, most people will be dressing down, today, right? No need to get dressed up, or put on business attire if you are relaxing at home!

Another way to use this word, is to describe the situation where famous people dress down when they go out in public to avoid being recognized by people and paparazzi. I’m guessing that most of us don’t need to worry about that, though, and instead just dress down because it’s the weekend!
